With the Warhammer Skulls event having come and gone we've decided to summarize the event for your convenience and put it all down in this here article. Without further ado let's get into the main stars of the showcase and what we can look forward to in the future.

Darktide: Arbites Class

The Arbites class was teased and we watched an aptly grimdark and gory trailer to introduce players to the class and get them hyped for it's release, the paid DLC introduces an entirely new experience in the Darktide game as well as being released alongside the Battle for Tertium update, which completely revamped the story of the game making it feel more coherent and put together than the previous reject's journey. Returning players have the option to relive the experience and see the full story or just jump back into the action with their new class or old builds.

Dark Heresy: An Owlcat CRPG

Hark the power of the Emperor previals! The studio behind the utterly amazing Rogue Trader revealed that they're working on a completely new game set in the Calixis Sector, you play as a Inquisition acolyte and meet a variety of interesting characters along the way whilst polishing up your sleuthing skills. If this is anything like Rogue Trader strap yourselves in for an in depth, potentially hundred hour storyline. The mysteries of the Tyrant Star have to be uncovered and we'll be the ones to do it. New companions include an Ogryn, Kroot, Eldar, Catachan jungle fighter and many more, needless to say we can't wait for this release.

Boltgun 2: Electric Boogaloo

Malum Caedo isn't done with the forces of chaos and it's time to rip and tear until it's done yet again! Boltgun 2 was revealed during the Skulls Showcase and many fans as well as ourselves were pleasantly surprised that a second game was in the works. The first is utterly fantastic and truly makes you feel like you've stepped into the armor of an ultramarine, the gunplay and movement is incredibly reminiscent of the arcadey original Doom games and if this is anything like the first it's going to be an utter blast.

Mechanicus 2: Praise The Omnissiah

Time to bless the machine spirit of your gaming setup because Mechanicus 2 is on it's way, the cult classic was a solid game allowing players to customize the loadouts on their very own tech priests to their own liking as well as choosing a variety of backup troops and blessings to assist in the battle against the Necrons. This new game seems to bring back the main Magi from the first game and make them the new customisable tech priests you play with, an interesting decision and we'll have to see how in depth it goes when this releases.

Many More Tidbits

A complete remaster of the original Space Marine game has been released and we played through it immediatly, it's fantastic and the punchy and weighty combat feels great, it's a great game to just shut your brain off for a bit while you slay hordes of orks and demons. Space Marine 2 has also recieved some updates, namely the siege mode, which pits players against progressively more hordes of tyranids, demons and traitor marines. The sheer chaos of this mode can blow your socks (or more likely your skull) off and it's loads of fun. The Dawn of War game is also getting a remaster and it looks like a solid time.

Most of the other news was around the multitude of card and mobile games set in the 40K universe as well, other than that these are the heaviest hitters of the showcase and it seems like we'll have no shortage of Warhammer in the months to come, as always thanks for reading and we wish you a pleasant day further, go well!
